Sindh government has formulated a plan to curb the growing population of stray dogs in the province, Roshan Shaikh

Karachi (16, Nov): Secretary Local Government Sindh Roshan Ali Shaikh said that Sindh government has formulated a plan to curb the growing population of stray dogs in the province. Roshan Shaikh said that There will be no stray dogs in Sindh after five to eight years, a grand operation will be launched starting next week to vaccinate stray dogs. They will also be tagged. Secretary Local Government said that PC-1 of the STREET DOG POPULATION AND RABIES CONTROL PROGRAM would be presented to the technical committee on coming Monday. Roshan Shaikh said that The conventional method of killing dogs was also being carried out across the province. But we cannot kill all the dogs. That is a cruel way. Secretary Local Government said that Sindh is the first province to launch a modern technique to deal with the issue of stray dogs, and involvement of government officials in this project would be at the minimum level. Roshan Ali Shaikh said that Public awareness is one of the major components of the plan. We need to understand our attitude towards animals. They react badly when annoyed.
