Karachi February 29: Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that drinking water shortage in District West Karachi will be resolved on priority basis while concerned police officers have been directed to take action against drug peddlers. He said this while addressing in an open Katchari in district West along with the provincial minister for agriculture Ismail Rahu. Member of Sindh Assembly Liaquat Asakani, DC and other officers also attended the open Katchari. In the open Katchari residents complained to Special Assistant to CM Sindh on DEPD Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar and provincial minister Ismail Rahu about sale of drugs and crimes in the area, adding that police were not taking action against these criminals. Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar assured the women complaining against lack of drinking water facilities that the issue would be resolved on priority basis. On this occasion Provincial Minister Ismail Rahu also directed police officers to take action against drug dealers. He further said that if the officers of the district are not solving the problems of the citizens, then the Sindh cabinet would be informed in this regard and action would be taken against the officers concerned. Regarding for ten years, many areas in the district West have been lacking drinking water. Special Assistant to CM Sindh on DEPD Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar and Provincial Agriculture Minister Mohammad Ismail Rahu expressed their anger to the Water Board officials and directed them to resolve the issue and lay fresh water lines and solve the problem otherwise action would be taken against the officers concerned. Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that Sindh government was serious about solving the problems of the people of Sindh and people's problems would be resolved at their doorstep.
